Week Two's table (see image) now looks a little more interesting as the season begins to take shape. The first challenge of the season, the 5km step challenge, has added points, and while Red Hot Chubby Fellas dominated this, earning maximum points (10), their pitch and tracking scores keep them in 4th position. With a fantastic group to work with, Tony Stonehouse and co. will no doubt have something to say about that in the coming weeks!
Paul Truscott has edged his Green Team, Kroos Control, into 2nd place thanks to his fundraising efforts, adding the maximum for this challenge (5) to their total, however fourth place in the 5km challenge means that they've dropped points here, compared to their rivals. This includes James Brockbank's Who Ate All Depays, who sadly forfeit their match this week.
While a game of sorts still went ahead, it was a shame after such a positive start for the Orange Team, who I'm sure will be raring to go in Week 3! The forfeit granted a +10 win to Borussia Munching Big Macs, who take an early 10-point lead in the table, with a 100% record on the pitch, and in the tracking. Scott Young received Brock's Tracking Hero of the Week award which earned the Black Team a 5 point bonus in addition to their maximum tracking points for the week! Well done lads!
The late game saw a close encounter between the White and Green teams, which ended in a +3 victory for Kroos Control. They'll be pleased with the win and will be looking to support this in the upcoming challenges and on the scales as we head into summer!
Next up in Week 3 we'll have the weigh in week, where points are added for weight loss across the phase, while teams who are yet to play each other will meet as the first round of games comes to a completion.
Many members of the league are participating in games at the Riverside Stadium next week also, so wishing them the very best experience from this!
